Privacy policy
This page covers the RetireForge marketing site (https://retireforge.com) — the pages you are reading now, not the RetireForge application itself, which is governed by the agreement your firm signs to use it. We collect very little here, and this page says exactly what and why.
What we collect
Demo requests. If you ask for a demo, we collect what you give us: your name, work email, firm name, and an optional message describing what you would like to see. If our request form is enabled, we also receive the approximate number of plans your firm manages (a band you select, not a precise figure) and the page you submitted from. If you instead email hello@retireforge.com directly, we receive whatever your email contains.
Theme preference. The light/dark toggle in the site header saves a single setting — which theme you picked — in your browser's local storage, under the key rf-theme-v1. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is not a cookie: we cannot read it, and it is not shared across sites or devices.
Ordinary server logs. Like any hosted website, our hosting provider (Vercel) sees standard request data — your IP address, browser user agent, and the time of the request — as a normal part of serving the page. When our request form is enabled, Cloudflare, whose Turnstile service screens the form for spam, sees the same kind of data for that purpose. Neither is used to profile you, and neither is analytics.
How we use it
- To respond to your demo request and follow up.
- To keep the site working the way you left it (your theme choice) across visits on the same device.
- To tell automated form submissions apart from real ones, so a spam script cannot flood our inbox.
We do not use anything we collect for any other purpose.
What we don't do
This site runs no analytics and sets no tracking or advertising cookies. There is no visitor-tracking script on this page, and nothing here builds a profile of you across other sites. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share your demo request with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
Service providers
A short list, because it is a short list. Each of the following only ever receives what it needs to do its job for us, and none of them is authorized to use your information for its own purposes:
- Email. Demo requests sent by email pass through our email provider like any other business email.
- Form processing (Holler). When the demo request form is enabled, it is relayed by our lead-capture backend, whose only function is delivering the request to us promptly.
- Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). Screens form submissions for automated abuse before they reach us.
- Hosting (Vercel). Serves this website and retains ordinary server logs.
Data retention
We keep demo request information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a customer, for our ongoing relationship — at that point retention is governed by the agreement covering the RetireForge application, not this page. If nothing comes of an inquiry, we retain it for a limited period for our own records and then delete it. Your theme preference persists only until you clear your browser's local storage or choose the other theme.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose — including asking us to stop contacting you about a demo. We will not treat you any differently for asking. Email hello@retireforge.com and we will handle it directly; we do not have a self-service portal for this, because we do not hold enough information about anyone to need one.
Children
This site is directed at retirement plan advisors and firms, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes — anything that changes what we collect or why — will be reflected here in plain language, not buried in a version history.
